Entrepreneur self taught filmmaker Kyle Paige is a writer, director editor and film composer. He is best known for directing music videos with various artist under his film company Soulful House Films.
Kyle took interest in film making in 2008. Treated as a hobby, he went around his home town filming amateur music videos and events for friends with a tiny green Casio camera. Rapidly his amateur videos where getting noticed, and artist were reaching out to pay him to shoot their videos.
Kyle says "Doing music videos or filming period, was nothing I planned, I was struggling and needed money".
Growing up Kyle was very active in art programs. A proud Harlem School Of the Arts alumni student Kyle learned and inherited many art skills from numerous musical instruments to drawling.
Kyle says "Art is my thing, without it i'm not me. I have a huge passion to create new things and ideas"
In 2009 he really started to take film making serious, and tried to enroll into film school, but was to late to register. So he took matter's into his own hands and soaked in all the information he could get on film making from books, the internet and even friends that are already in the film business.
Kyle says "Some people have no clue how hard I work to make sure I'm as official and sharp as the respected NYU film students"
Early 2010 Kyle invested into a professional camera, and put everything he's been reading and studying for the past year to work. His first professional project didn't come until October of 2010 when he filmed his first professional music video. That video became a early success and gained over 1200 views it's first few days with great feed back.
Kyle says "I was so excited to see the outcome of my first project I filmed and edited that Aircraft Patt video on the same day, i couldn't leave the computer screen"
Kyle kept working and made a pretty nice name for himself in a short period of time, with over 25 music video and a dozen other projects circulating the web. Now established with the basics of filmmaking Kyle has bigger and brighter plans for the future to further his knowledge and hard work in the film industry.
